Ladd Spencer is armed with a gun in one hand and an extendable bionic arm on the other. He technically requires the bionic arm to get around. Although he can walk/run and is generally known to be a sturdy lad, he literally can't jump at all. His bionic arm can be extended forward, 45-degrees, or straight up in order to grab platforms and ceilings, snag items from a distance and/or repel enemies. Once the bionic arm has grabbed on to a surface, Ladd may swing himself to another platform, twerk himself into the air slightly perhaps to get over an obstacle, or just pull himself up if the platform allows it. The basic plot is that Federation Forces (us, the good guys) discover secret docs regarding "Albatros", an unfinished project developed by the Empire's (them, the bad guys) predecessor, the "Badds" (also bad, aka the "Nazz" in the Famicom game "Hittorā no Fukkatsu: Toppu Shīkuretto" - the source of this US localization ). Imperial leader Generalissimo Killt decides to complete the project himself. Upon learning of this, Super Joe (the main character from Commando NES 1986) is sent to infiltrate the Empire, but captured.
